Free Sourcing Tools
Free China sourcing tools for importers
These free sourcing tools help importers organize supplier research before speaking with factories or placing sample orders. Many sourcing problems begin with unclear requirements, uneven quotation comparison, or missing supplier checks. A simple checklist or comparison table can make the buying decision much clearer.
Use this page as a practical starting point before you contact suppliers in China. If you need hands-on help after using the tools, LinSourcing can support China sourcing agent work, product sourcing from China, supplier verification, quality control, and logistics coordination.
Supplier comparison checklist
When comparing suppliers, do not look only at the first unit price. A lower price may exclude packaging, accessories, testing, export documents, tooling, or realistic material quality. Build a table with the same fields for every supplier so each quotation can be compared on equal terms.
- Company name, website, location, and main product category.
- Factory or trading company status, export experience, and response quality.
- MOQ, unit price, sample cost, tooling cost, packaging cost, and payment terms.
- Material, specification, certification, test standard, and customization ability.
- Production lead time, sample lead time, shipment terms, and after-sales response.
RFQ information template
A strong RFQ helps suppliers quote faster and more accurately. Include product photos, drawings, target market, order quantity, target price, packaging requirements, quality level, required certification, delivery country, and whether the order is for testing or repeat purchasing.
If your product is custom, add drawings, material notes, color references, packaging artwork, usage scenario, and any tolerance or performance requirement. For OEM or ODM work, connect the brief with new product development in China so samples and specifications can be managed step by step.
Supplier verification notes
Before paying a deposit, check whether the supplier’s business information, product capability, communication, and quotation details match your project. Supplier verification does not remove every risk, but it helps you avoid obvious mismatch and weak candidates.
- Business license and company registration consistency.
- Factory photos, product line evidence, export records, and category experience.
- Quotation details that match your specification and Incoterms.
- Willingness to provide samples, documents, inspection access, and clear payment terms.
